Description
What began as a husband-and-wife musical duo has grown into one of Greater Cincinnati's most distinctive bands. Now, The Newbees are bringing their signature blend of original music, rich harmonies and high-energy performances to Behringer-Crawford Museum for their Music@BCM debut on Thursday, July 9.
Doors open at 6 p.m., with music from 7 to 9 p.m. on the museum's front terrace overlooking scenic Devou Park and the Devou Park Golf Course.
Founded in 2004 by Jeff and Misty Perholtz, The Newbees have spent more than two decades creating original music while building a loyal following through exceptional musicianship, lush vocal harmonies, roots-inspired improvisation and an unmistakable spirit of fearless positivity.
In addition to performing their own music, The Newbees are known for their thoughtfully produced tribute concerts celebrating the heritage, influence and energy of vintage rock 'n' roll, soul and psychedelia. Depending on the show, audiences may find themselves transported to legendary music venues and eras that helped shape rock history, all while experiencing the band's own creative style and sound.
The Newbees have released nine original albums and are featured in Season 1 of A Band & A Van, available on Prime, Apple TV and YouTube.
Weather permitting, concerts are held outdoors at Behringer-Crawford Museum, located at 1600 Montague Road in Covington. In the event of inclement weather, performances will be moved indoors. Parking is free.
Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for museum members and students ages 13 to 17, and free for children ages 12 and under. Visitors presenting an EBT card receive a reduced admission of $3 for up to four persons. Concert admission also includes access to BCM's current exhibition, Treasures From the Attic: 250 Years of Fashion & Furniture.
Food from MF Food Truck will be available for purchase during the concert, along with a cash bar and the crowd-favorite 'Split the Pot' raffle. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for outdoor seating.
