SUMMARY:HR 100: Understanding and Responding to Power-Based Violence (Green Dot Training)
DESCRIPTION:Unfortunately\, many employees experience power-based violence outside of the workplace ranging from domestic violence and stalking to harassment and coercion. For HR professionals\, it's critical to understand that these experiences don't stay at home. They often follow employees into the workplace\, impacting focus\, attendance\, performance\, and overall well-being. Individuals may appear disengaged or inconsistent\, when in reality they are navigating complex and often dangerous personal circumstances. Left unrecognized or unsupported\, this can lead to increased absenteeism\, safety concerns\, and turnover. The NKY Chamber of Commerce is pleased to partner with the ION Center for Violence Prevention to offer Green Dot Certification Training. This evidence-based training equips HR leaders with practical tools to recognize potential warning signs and respond in ways that promote safety\, empathy\, and support. Participants will learn how to identify when an employee may be impacted\, intervene appropriately\, and help foster a workplace culture where individuals feel safe\, supported\, and able to access the resources they need.
