Join local historian Karl Lietzenmayer for "Congressman Brent Spence: His Family and His Legacy," an engaging virtual presentation exploring the life and lasting impact of Newport native Brent Spence. Before his name became synonymous with one of the region's most recognizable landmarks, Spence spent more than three decades representing Northern Kentucky in Congress, leaving a legacy that extended far beyond the region.

Karl Lietzenmayer is a Fort Mitchell native, historian, author, and longtime advocate for preserving Northern Kentucky's history. He founded Northern Kentucky Heritage magazine in 1992 and has spent decades researching and sharing the stories of the people, places, and events that shaped our region. His contributions have been recognized with Behringer-Crawford Museum's Two-Headed Calf Award and the Kentucky Historical Society's Lifetime Achievement Award.
