Description
The City of Florence is excited to announce the 2026 Holiday Card Contest and Card Collection, inviting elementary and middle school students in grades K–8—and any community member—to spread joy and kindness through handmade holiday cards. This annual program brings the community together to create thoughtful cards for senior living homes throughout Florence. Mayor Aubuchon will personally deliver the cards, ensuring seniors feel appreciated during the holiday season.

Submission Dates: November 16–30, 2026
Location: Florence Government Center, Administration Department, 8100 Ewing Boulevard
Card Guidelines: Original, handmade, winter holiday-themed designs (5”x7” or 8.5”x5.5”), using paper, crayons, markers, pencils, or pens. Avoid loose glitter or decorations. Include student name, grade, teacher, school, and contact info on the back.
Community Participation: Anyone may contribute cards, individually or in bundles, to help brighten the holidays for seniors.
Winning student entries will be recognized during the Florence Tree Lighting Celebration on Tuesday, December 8, from 5:00–7:00 p.m. Prizes will be awarded by grade bracket (K–1, 2–3, 4–5, 6–8), and one special entry will receive the Mayor’s Choice Award.
